Alappuzha is an important tourist destination in India. The Backwaters of Alappuzha are the most popular tourist attraction in Kerala. Day 01: Trivandrum Arrival- KovalamArrive at Trivandrum and proceed to Kovalam. Kovalam has three beaches separated by rocky outcroppings in its 17 km coastline; the three together form the famous crescent of the Kovalam beach. The whole day will be devoted to exploring the beauty of this lovely sea side. The light house beach is the best known beach in Kovalam. It offers a striking view of the Vizhinjam Mosque. The Samudra Beach is a better option for those who love solitude for it is not the centre of much activity and impresses one with its tranquility. The Hawah Beach bustles with the activities of fishermen particularly in the mornings. Each moment is sure to be thoroughly enjoyable and fond memories of these days will be cherished for long. Day 02: Kovalam- TrivandrumAfter breakfast, Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favorite haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. Enjoy in the serenity of Kovalam Beaches & enjoy your day at silvery stretch of sandy beaches. Day 03: KanyakumariAfter breakfast check out from the hotel & drive to Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari is a place at the confluence of the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Day 04:Via Madurai - Kodaikanal After breakfast, Enroute Via Madurai visit Kodungalloor Temple and TriprayarTemple . Meenakshi Amman Temple is a historic Hindu temple located in the south side of river Vaigai in the temple city of Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is dedicated to Parvati who is known as Meenakshi and her consort, Shiva named here as Sundareswarar(beautiful deity). proceed to Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal is a charming hill station, stands amidst sylvan beauty on the southern crest of the upper Palani Hills near Madurai in Tamil Nadu. Day 05: MunnarAfter breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Munnar. Munnar, one of the most popular hill stations in India is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Located at 1600 m above sea level, this was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience. Day 06: MunnarAfter breakfast go for sightseeing Munnar which includes the Raja Malai, a top peak of Munnar where you can see Neel Thar (mountain goats), Muttupetty dam, Indo Swiss project; you can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight stays at hotel.
Day 07: Alleppy HouseboatAfter breakfast, check out from the hotel and Drive to Alleppey. Alleppey in Kerala is a beautiful backwater destination. Located on the picturesque Vembanad Lake Alleppey,has to be seen to be believed. Alleppey consists of a cluster of islands which have been converted into a number of tourist resorts. The blue backwaters and the surface of Vembanad Lake reflect the azure sky. Day 08: CochinAfter breakfast, proceed to Cochin. This includes Fort Cochin, The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, which is renowned for its wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana and The Jewish Synagogue at the heart of a town locally known as the Jew Town. Cochin also boasts of The St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India and The Santa Cruz Basilica, which was originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese. Another tourist attraction is the Chinese fishing nets which are huge cantilevered fishing nets believed to have been brought by Chinese traders to Cochin. Overnight stay at Hotel in Cochin.
Day 09: Cochin DropThe blissful holiday in Kerala comes to an end today. Every moment of the trip was memorable but as all good things in life must come to an end it's time now to head for Cochin Airport and board the flight back home
